I’ve been playing with pictures… this is one I took about four years ago and never did anything with. I opened it up in Paint Shop Pro first and cropped it:

Then I removed the digital noise, sharpened the edges, and boosted the color slightly. (All in Paint Shop Pro– I have more experience with PSP from doing web graphics, etc):

Then I decided to play with it in Photoshop Elements. I played with some filters and ended up really liking this one– it is Monday Morning Violet; I lowered the grain, brightness, and smear; and bumped up the color. I also didn’t sharpen it because I kinda like the softness of the way it looks:

I'm a daughter of the King, the Mom of four, step-mom of one; married to my best friend, the greatest Southern gentleman evah! When I'm not chasing kids, refereeing teenage arguments, cooking, cleaning, working my at-home business, or blogging you can find me with my beloved Canon in my hands. I love photography and hope to someday actually be good at it! ;) For now, I'm content with learning the ropes and snapping away as the amateur I am. :)
